Nicole - Dental Hygienist

We welcome Nicole, a dental hygienist, to our practice in August of 2016. Nicole comes to us with 5 years of pediatric dental hygiene experience.
I am a proud born and raised Alaskan who graduated from Chugiak High School and from UAA for my dental hygiene degree. I love the adventure Alaska has to offer and am proud to raise my family here.
Justin and I have been married for 15 years and have two children who are 13 and 11. In our free time we love exploring Alaska. Our favorite spot might just be Kennicott. If you haven't had the opportunity to visit Kennicott, feel free to ask me all about it when you stop by for a visit. I'd love to hear about your favorite spots to visit as well.

Pediatric dental hygiene is my passion and I look forward to seeing your children soon!

Gabby - Dental Hygienist

Discovery dental has had the pleasure of having Gabby, a dental hygienist, on our team since July of 2015.

I was born and raised in Wasilla, Alaska and graduated from UAA with a Bachelors in Dental Hygiene, In 2010, I married my husband Justin, and we welcomed a son into our lives in May of 2014. Before joining the team here at Discovery Dental, my husband's military career gave the pleasure of living in Hawaii and Colorado. I got my first pediatric dental hygiene experience while I was in Hawaii and immediately fell in love! I have 4 years of experience in pediatric dental hygiene with many more years to come. While not at work I enjoy hiking all over Alaska, if you have any great trail suggestions I would love to hear them!

Alysha - Dental Assistant

It is such an honor to be a part of a fantastic team of dental professionals! My name is Alysha and I am the newest member of the Discovery Dental family. My husband and I are both originally from the island of Guam and together we are raising 3 incredible children, ages 11, 10, and 3. As an active duty military member, my husband's career has allowed us to travel and live around the world. I began my Pediatric Dentistry career in 2006, in Southwest Washington, after graduating from Dental Assisting school. In 2015, we gladly made Alaska our new home after having the amazing privilege of living overseas in Japan for 4 years. Aside from having the greatest opportunity to passionately treat the children of our community, I have also fallen in love with all the fun and beauty Alaska has to offer!

Jenn - Dental Assistant

Discover Dental welcomes Jenn, one of our talented Dental Assistants. She has been on our team since March of 2016.

I have lived in Eagle River my whole life. I graduated from Chugiak High School and from Dental Assisting school in 2014, though I have been in the denatl field since 2013. I am looking to go through hygiene school once my kiddos are in school. I have been with my other half for 6 years raising our son and daughter. We recently bough our first home in Chugiak and we love it! We love everything outdoors - fishing, hiking, camping, sledding, playing hockey, you name it. I am looking forward to seeing you and your family come into our office and having a great experience with our fun team!

Tierra - Dental Assistant

Bio coming soon.

Katherine - Front Desk

50 year resident of Alaska - grew up in Alaska, subsistence lifestyle without the luxuries of electricity and running water. I like to say we had running water, you can run out and get it the creek in running. Graduated Wasilla High School in 1980, and married the love of my life that year, who is a native Alaskan. My spouse and I raised 3 children who love the outdoors and winter sports. Two of our children reside in Palmer, and are the parents of our 4 grandchildren ranging in ages from 2-17. My husband's employment on the Alaskan Railroad moved us to Fairbanks in 1986 where I finished my education and began a career in dentistry as an assistant in 1987. I started working primarily with children for the first 10 years then 12 years in general dentistry. In 2010, I changed from the clinical side of dentistry to the administrative following my passion of working in pediatrics. Living in a log home near the Kink Glacier allows me the quiet and solitude of Alaska, and small town feel of working in Eagle River at Discovery Dental, with an outstanding team of dental professionals, working with parents and children is a life that I love. When I'm not working, you can find me on the golf course, or participating in dog sports with our family's German Shepherds.

Kaitlyn - Front Desk

My name is Kaitlyn, raised in a military family, we moved around some, but when we got to Alaska my family knew we were here to stay. That year we decided to settled down in Eagle River, Alaska! After graduating from Eagle River High School in 2012, I decided to further my knowledge in dentistry. I always knew I wanted to work with children, so mixing the dental field with amazing energized kids was the place for me. Discovery Dental took me under their wing straight out of dental assisting school. After two years of being a dental assistant, I decided to try my hand at the administrative side. Now I am lucky enough to work at Discovery Dental and see kids smiling faces daily. Nothing can beat that!
